Beat my head against the figurative "Wall".
Big news here is that the county just approved two new large "Green energy" projects.
I expect the energy produced will be going to CA, our local needs are met by a modest Geothermal facility.
But part of the deal is that the construction phase will pay 150% of "Prevailing wage".
OK, I despise the whole concept and know it is a scam, proven by it's only having a twenty-five year life.
Yep, in twenty-five years it all gets torn down.
Got contact info from the county and began making calls again, still attempting to reach the Human Resources departments.
No one answers, leave a message.
I have already done this dance.
Seems the "Contacts" are basically fake, the address I found list two hundred and fifty companies at that same location.
So the real address is somewhere else.
I also contacted the local temp agencies, they are not involved.
But these mega-companies are the sort whining that they cannot find American workers so must have more immigration!

UPDATE: One of the companies finally responded to my email.
I should have known it is all smoke and mirrors, in fact it will probably never happen but investors (Suckers!) will be fleeced. I wonder what the kick-back to our county commissioners comes to?
"The Winston Solar Project in Wabuska is still several years from being designed and constructed. Currently, those efforts on the project are anticipated to being around the 2026 timeframe. The hold up is that it cannot go online until NVE completes its Greenlink projects.

So more money being pissed away and laundered ...

No Nevada near Reno.
I suppose this is part of the justification for the 8% rate increase we just got.
It said strait out that it is for "Green energy projects".
I expect that if I dared to show up at PUC or County Commission hearings I would end up arrested.

Yeah, I hate government so much now and how bloated it is. More palms are being greased to pass stupid shit and the common man pays the price for greed.

Did a dumbass move a few months ago, came into a parking lot too fast and damaged the underbody cover under the bumper and right inner fender on my red Fusion, tore the plastic up. I had it tie wrapped together. I finally ordered the parts from the dealer and installed them this morning. Not a hard job, I just can't believe I ordered the correct parts with the lousy pictures Ford provides online.

Ran the ditch witch doing some trenching this morning. We moved the battle cruiser away from trees so I needed to run a new water line (about 80') and came up on a root from a pine (about 6" root) and the ditch witch started chunking through it, then the chain popped off. Had to run to tractor supply to get a 48" pry bar to get it back on, then grease the tensioner (grease into a zerk does the tensioning), and I got it back on but twisted my back doing it.

Lisa finally found the gabapentin and I took 1/2 pill and that eased the pain. Gotta learn to take it easy, I'm not that young anymore.

My Lisa got mad at me twice today, one because I did not ask for help getting the Kayaks back on the ceiling rack and for not asking for help with the boat cover in the wind. I think many of us are to damn independent and stubborn to ask for help.

In that aspect women are smarter than men.... our pride gets in the way.

I get to live for another day.

There isn't anything that could shock her.... she's been with me for 35 years, and I'm a hard charging no bullshit marine, so she's used to it.

When I'm pissed or hurt, there is no filter on my mouth, and I don't hold back telling the truth if someone asks for it.

I'm as guilty of that as anyone, my mind can't see any reason why I cannot do what I've always done, but can't always drag my body behind it!. Friday night, I went to a late showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show with my daughter and her boyfriend, and some people from work. I was in bed by 1:30 am and up at 6 am to go to a car show, and had to leave about 11:30 am. I was embarrassed and pissed, but I had just hit the wall and had to come home for a nap. I'm blessed with good health and no physical issues, but trying to burn the candle at both ends is my downfall.

My grandma always used to say to my brother's and me (in broken English because she came from Ukraine) "Yout is waste on the young" and being young I never understood it, but now it resonates in my memories.

Ralph Kramden said that as well...in the episode where he takes Alice roller skating.
