Thanks for your input Pete. Yes, it's too much for my needs, especially since I already have my '67 L78 engine. A friend (on here) also pointed out the pad is a restamp. I thought the Tonawanda stamp looked legit, but I suppose the VIN stamp could be "off". There's really no way of knowing the specs of the engine either, which sort of smells! A car restored as nice as this one should have every spec clearly presented, including the engine build, trans, diff, exhaust system, all upgrades, replaced parts (not original), etc. That's what I would do if it was my car.
