Is their a reason you can't use a vacuum bleeder?

Well, I need a decent compressor, seriously, mine has been broke for a few years.

My Mercedes was expensive $0.00 Yup, got it for free, runs great, looks good and smooth driving car. It needed work when I got it, mainly cosmetic.

Right now I cannot justify the expense of replacing the compressor. TBH, I used my air bleeder when the compressor was working and I was not impressed.

My Mercedes uses an ABS system that is very sensitive to air and can be troublesome. I have a code in the system stating brake fluid is old. I am looking for a way to bleed it without the possibility of introducing any air in the system On the Mercedes forum it says to either use the Mercedes STAR system to cycle the ABS or use the Motive bleeding system to force fluid through.

I have one of those too, trying to get more of an even pressure on system. May get a Motive and give it a try.

The newer ABS systems are not like the old, simple systems of the past.

Great for vacuum testing too, I recently loaned mine to a friend who replaced his slave cylinder on a truck
