New bumpers from Golden Star

Any good topcoat will give you far more protection than nothing. Even oem bumpers rusted on the backside in short order.

I'd at least clear the rear of the bumper, but they do look nice.

Repops will rust on the back and it won't take long.

10-4. I'll shoot the backside with clear. Alcohol and scothbrite the backs before spraying.

I probably should update the total price; it was a little higher as they added tax after the 1st quote.

Keep a good coat of wax on the chrome too, mines garage kept 10 blocks away and started what looked like small pitting ( I don't see it every day) so I used chrome polish then waxed and back looking like new

Wow, having a great time removing the old brackets from the original bumpers.
The rear bumper has a riveted on bracket ? Couldn't believe it. Had to cut off 6 large rivets.
The front bumper has a frozen bolt I'll have to cut. This is too much fun.

Had to get 12 new bumper bolts so I ended up ordering a Champ 207 pan for the engine to get free shipping from Summit.

When I ordered the VA 90° fitting it was $10.95 and $11.95 shipping lol, as far as rivets my 68 had all bolts
