Who has US made 68 windshield, hope in Western US?

OER is made in China seems Summit Racing is almost Wal-Mart now.
Not the best quality.
China glass tends to be thin and chip/crack more easily than US.
Need windshield glass for my 68 El Camino.
Do not want to pay more for shipping than the glass, do not want to support China.
Suggestions?

NPD is the only place I've seen that sells Windshields without the Tint Strip at the top & they are pricey compared to the tint strip versions so you could give them a call to see where they are sourced. They have a location in Ventura, CA, so it's only one state away.

Hold the phone....Looks like this company makes glass here in the USA for any classic car on a made to order basis at reasonable prices if the website is accurate.

Wish I would've found this myself for my wagon. When I bought the 10 piece package, half the glass was US made, half chinesium.

Nice Find!

Got an answer from them.
El Camino glass about $150 plus shipping.
I replied asking to confirm it is US made.
Lotus glass price was nuts at $3500!

UPDATE: "Only USA Made would be NOS est $1.5K"

Foiled again!!

I hate liars. So why the hell are they advertising USA made glass?

And what year is your Lotus. I know nothing about those cars.

Originally a 1487cc Renault making about 85 HP.
But the car only weighs about 1600 Lb.
Later cars had 1565cc engines and a bit more power.
Mine has a "Gordini" Hemi-head upgrade and twin Webers, it should make around 115-125 HP.
The last factory cars used the Ford 1600 Twin-Cam and make around 115 HP but weigh more.

An LS conversion has been done, it may run and hide in a strait line but mine will still kick its azz in the corners.

All aluminum LS would be Bad Ass in that Lotus, my back glass came from NPD and no complaints glass installer supplied the windshield and no complaints but both are probably from China 😐
