I know he's checked out for awhile but saw this listed near me :

1963 Chevrolet corvair Monza 900
$10,500

Beautiful 1963 Corvair Monza. Runs and drives well. Fun to drive. 4 speed manual. A nice restoration was done on the car a few years ago. Lots of work just done as well, including: New battery Front and rear brake hoses Wheel cylinders Parking brake cable Fan belt Carburetors rebuilt and tuned Spark plugs and wires Very nice paint with some flaws. A dent in the driver door and trunk lid. A nick in the edge of the drivers door. New interior. Carpet, seat covers, door panels, etc. Deluxe Chevy wire wheel hubcaps. Newer white top. Rear window zipper came loose and needs to be re-attached. New top boot. Front trunk is solid and clean. Very clean engine compartment. Undercarriage seems solid. Some work was done. And previous owner used POR15. Starts up easily every time. Stops well. Drives well. It pops out of 2nd gear sometimes when you down shift so you have to hold it in place.

The floorpan looks rust free. If I wanted a Corvair, I'd buy this in a heartbeat.
If Alan is interested, I could go check it out.

I would love to hotrod a Corvair !
Back in the early 80's I had a gf who sold her 70 SS Chevelle and then bought a 66 Corvair which was actually damned cool. It had a 327 up front, a th400 trans and a Ford 9" for a rear end. The person who did the conversion did a 9 out of 10 on the drivetrain. That little car ran pretty well.

I think Alan wants to restore one of his projects.
