It is hard to believe that many 2023 State Park Campsites are booked, I gave up on NC and SC beach sites, finally found a site near Savannah for early March. We have always wanted to visit Savannah.

Parks open year round there?
Yes. Some shut water off in the winter but not many, we do get freezes but mainly at night, warms into the 40s and 50s most days in the cold months. Plus, many campgrounds have installed freeze proof faucets. Many Snowbirds winter in Eastern and Low Country South Carolina parks, they give them discounts.
When we started RVing nobody went to the beach in the winter, now the places are busy, even summer activities like mini-golf and amusements are open. Thanksgiving sites are booked a year ahead of time. We will be in a State Park in FL around Christmas this year.

If you are anywhere near Savannah on St Patricks Day, just GO! They do it like on other place. Makes Mardi Gras in New Orleans look like a church supper.
