A little fall road trip.

That road to the dinosaur is rough! Their fuel was expensive.

Badlands are awesome, can't wait to go back.

Did you go to Wall Drug?

Outside of Badlands is a great BLM boondocking site overlooking the Badlands. Kevin, this is a must for the motor home!

Looks like they patched the road. I don't go to Wall Drug, I washed the truck. Wife has to go there every time we're within a 100 miles.

I remember driving through the lot, then saw the sign no RVs or Campers, whoops. :)

We wanted to go to Wall Drug but it was too hot to leave the dogs in the truck. We worked our way back to the Interstate and went to Custer State Park. What amazed me is the South Dakota roads are in great shape.

The road are decent. Was the in June? We were there a couple years ago in June & it was 105.
Should have said when we went through the BL there was about a dozen campers at the boon dock spot up on the hill.

I haven't seen the leaves change colors in more than 25 years (since we moved to Florida). I'm good now.

Where's the Sinclair Gas Pumps ?

And I heard that Geronimo hid out in the Badlands for a long time.
Now I understand why they couldn't find him !
I just wonder how he found food and water out there !

The dino is at the end of the parking lot, the gas station is when you enter the lot.

There is not a lot of water in the Bad Lands but the area is full of Bison and Prairie Dogs so there are sources.

But it's not a Sinclair.
Yea it look like it would be hard to find water, there is a store & restaurant, & tourist trap stuff.

I don't remember what it was but I do remember it was hard to work my rig to the pump and the fuel was more expensive than other stations.

Only the 2 stations in Wall the one by the dino Conoco I think, & Exon across the street. They are about 20 cents higher than like Rapid City.
Forgot about Phillips by Subway.
