You guys in Florida ready?

I watched these trees bend at least 45° during Irmas wind gusts and bounce right back up then over again multiple times and thought for sure they'd snap but they didn't20220924_181230_HDR.jpg

Yep, during Irma we lost 1 tree on our fence (neighbors tree) waited for the eyewall, cut the tree down (just dropped the rest of it) went back in and waited for the backside of the storm to finish. Cleaned up the next day and all was good.

Lisa said she wasn't leaving me, so we'll ride it..... I'm not really concerned, but careful and cautious. Been down this road before and a Cat 1 and 2 aren't bad at all, but never been in a Cat 3 or 4, so we'll see how that plays out.

We have steel containers and there's no possible way for those to get moved or destroyed with everything in them, so if it gets bad we can go into them.

Not scared, but have a healthy respect for mother nature.

I told my wife Im getting the Gen out tomorrow for a test run (havent fired it up yet this year) she said Im crazy 😳 Im also filling up some 5 gal gas cans, with Irma and no power for 5 days I went through the 15 gal I had then finding stations with power Sucked, got 10 gal of 91 Non Eth in cans for the Chevelle so dumping that in the car and filling 4-5 gal cans with 90 Non Eth & Stabil for the Gen, I really need to convert my Gen to Nat gas since we have it on the house and it never goes out from Natural Mother Nature Shit...Terrorist thats another story

I think the only thing you guys will have to deal with is some winds and storm surge, but of course you know as well as I do the path can change at any point.

In a way we're lucky I-275 overpass for 22nd ave N is about 100 feet to the West of us, breaks a lot of Gulf of Mexico winds 👍👍🙂

Whatever you do DO NOT watch the Weather Channel while you ride out the storm. Stick to your local newscast.
The Weather Channel is all about ratings. They will scare the shit out of you with all the doom and gloom. Video screens in the background with trees bending and water rising over the top of houses ect.
This stuff does and can happen but I don't need a ratings whore telling me I will die if I stay home. It is so over the top and it pisses me off.
