Air shocks

Does anyone have any good recommendations for some rear? My car at some point had them. Fitting is still in bumper and I’d like to use it. Thanks. Parts place has this.

The one thing I love about Chevelles over Camaros is the smooth ride of the coil spring suspension.
Air shocks turn the rear suspension into a solid leaf-spring like misery.
Did they ever come from the factory with air shocks ?
I installed BMR 1" lowering springs all around. Slightly stiffer but still ride excellent.

I’m assuming not on the factory install but could be wrong. My bumper though I believe is original and the fitting is there. Instead of removing it or just leaving it unhooked I’d like to reuse it. For as much as this car will be on the road, for me a smooth ride isn’t that important. Kinda like having no ac. Thanks

I used them on my turd elky, but I'd advise against it on a car. That fitting isn't factory, and if you send it out for rechrome, either weld the hole up or have the chrome shop do it. Most shops can do this. A good set of gas shocks make the a-bodies ride very nice. I've used that reasoning of not driving it often, but always have regretted it.

Ok thanks I may just take yours and Nashville Cats advice. Didn’t think plugging the hole would look good. Now I’d look into rechroming and see what they say. I think there’s some on the west side.
