Is there a washer that goes on the screw in octagon piece? This bottoms out before its tight on the door but does leave a proper gap to push the lock tumblers in to remove the lock mechanism, I thought about grinding it shorter but the way its designed it'll weaken it by grinding, Fn Taiwan parts

Just put a fender washer in between, but check for clearance and you may have to adjust the latch itself to hold the door tight.

When I tighten that retaining nut it's real sloppy in the hole of the glove box door I'm going to try to find a nylon washer to put on the retaining nut the lock mechanism itself has a little Notch that fits into a cutout that's in the hole in the door itself so I'm pulling into Home Depot now to see what they have

I'm thinking 1 maybe 2 of these will work just need to make the center hole larger

The washer tightened it up just right, the key "plungers?" came out and Im going to look on YT to see if I put them back in right since the tumbler doesnt want to go in and cant press down the first one

Need to pull the key out about a half inch lol, going back this evening to give it a whirl

The GB door is still sitting on a shelf in my office/spare bedroom, got busy with work and had the VA charged but that's the next "To Do" to figure out how the key's not turning and stuck in the lock, gotta work today & Sat so hopefully Sun I'll have time to work on it

I was just looking at the GB door lock assembly, I think I lost 1 tumbler? piece, will this work WO it or could that be the reason the key won’t turn? Probably answered my own question lol61581EEC-085A-49CB-B9A6-1F2D4488C955.jpeg

I have had more trouble installing a simple glove box lock, my Gold car's is still incorrect. The repro ones seem to fall apart.
