USB charging port and aux input

I want to add a USB charging port and an aux input to plug in the phone or a blue tooth adapter. I was going to stick it in the glove box for a stealthier look. Hopefully the cardboard glovebox is sturdy enough to handle the pushing and pulling of plugging stuff in.

This is closest to what I want. Both in one unit. Looks like the 3.5 mm cord I can just plug into the side of my radio. The USB side however looks like it's data transfer type deal. I'm just looking for a (+) and (-) wire and set it up for charging only. Can you just cut off the male USB end and will there be a black and red wire to run for charging only?

I actually already bought simple USB charging adapters, like you'd install in a boat with a cap on it, etc. But the above unit has both in 1 so that's more desirable.

Thanks.

Just to update this. I decided that plugging and unplugging into jacks mounted in a cardboard glovebox was eventually going to risk damaging the glovebox. So I bent to a metal plate that I Gorilla glued to a section of the glovebox. I also “caulked” the seams of the glovebox (on the backside) with Gorilla glue figuring that it might help with rigidity. After it dried, I was impressed. I feel like it feels more rigid.

Got it installed, still have to wire the USB charger. I’ll probably just run a wire over from the cigarette lighter which is only a few inches away.

Now I can listen to the phone through my original am radio or unplug and listen to am (SF has a surprisingly good conservative talk radio station).
I might eventually get a Bluetooth module.
