So is every car offered for sale on Fakebook a scam?

Project car I was building for Mom had a major setback, bad trans.
So went looking for a decent inexpensive used car, can even accept one that needs a little work.
NO ONE responds to my messages.
Several ads are obviously fake.
Some ask me to text them even after I have left my phone number.
I do not see how the scam works if they do not respond, are they just harvesting phone numbers to sell to other scammers?

On Facebook Marketplace there is a real nice looking Corvette Convertible for under $20k and advertised in all different States.

Sometimes I don't go on Facebook for a few days. It's possible they haven't seen your message.
It's the best place to find a good deal but if you are in a hurry, you may have to wait.
The advantage is you are dealing with the owner, not a car lot.

If they want to sell, you'd think they would check every day, But yea probably a lot of scams.

How do they SCAM if they never reply to set the hook?
Cars that look new for $1,200 are obvious scams, pretty sure "Text my sister at ???????? for more details" are scams too.
