Need to order parts. Who is your favorite vendor?

I forgot to mention The Parts Place & Inline Tube. Both offer zero in regards to customer service, but they both stock a lot of hard to find parts & fasteners.

I like Hinshaw's however he and I haven't seen eye to eye recently concerning original colors. James and Sylvia are great people and they have a huge inventory of used parts. He has a small store/shop north of Elon, NC, interesting place to visit.

I purchased some door panels from Ausley's close to 30 years ago. No complaints then... I bought sheetmetal from Lutty's a little over 15 years ago, and no complaints there either. I got some wheel houses and outer rocker panels this year from AMD and had a good experience there. Some of their sheetmetal even has GM Restoration Parts stickers on them.

30 years ago Ausleys was in a barn in Graham. They have been around a long time.

I was not aware of Classic Muscle. Was it once under a dealership name? Looks like they have a lot of different stuff in their inventory.

They're right in your neck of the woods. They've sold parts as Classic Muscle as long as I've been using them, but are attached to Modern Chevrolet in Winston Salem.

12/2 I ordered a wiring harness (AAW) from Tamraz on EBay. Free shipping and $20 cheaper than anyone else. What could go wrong right? It was listed as coming from the manufacturer or maybe as made to order. No problem, I’m not in a great hurry. 3 weeks later there was still no estimate as to when it would ship. Their response was that it can take up to two months (that was not mentioned in the ad; it only said shipping estimate “varied.”).

So live and learn. This is not necessarily to complain about them as a vendor. Although I will say that it would have been better on their part to list shipping date as “up to 2 months” instead of “varied.” I don’t think most people when buying a nearly $600 dollar item would think $20 off is a reasonable savings for having to wait 2 months when everyone else has it in stock and ships free too.

I bought some sheet metal from them in the past and was happy.
Not a complaint, just a random thought about parts buying right now.
