Hydramatic Tail bushing

Anyone ever replace one? Difficulty? This is for the '64 Starfire and the tail is sloppy, so I need to replace the bushing. Already put a new seal in, but that's probably wiped because of the play.

Haven't looked recently, but 99% sure it does. Found a guy who made a custom tool to pull it out, but it's not a for sale thing, so I figure I'm relegated to pulling the tailpiece off and pushing the bushing out.

Ordered the viton seal for the rear main and teflon oil pan gaskets. The guy told me it's a split seal that's made to be installed without pulling the crank. I'll fix both when I pull the engine and trans.

Do you know which THM it has?

I already found these and they should fit. Just trying to decide if I want to replace just the bushing or the sleeve that includes the bushing.

IIRC the tail housing is removable but if you need to remove the tail shaft itself the trans needs to come apart, so you should be able to remove the tail housing and replace the bushing then reinstall it Edit I had mine done but it was when I first bought the engine & trans about 12 yrs ago, guy removed the RV brake drum and housing but left the Truck shaft in since it would’ve required a tear down and everything looked good in the 24K mile trans
