Pantera and Skid Row in 2023

I didn’t realize that Pantera had a reunion and is on tour. Of course no Vinnie or Dimebag. As far as I can see their rolls are being capably filled by Charlie Benante of Anthrax and Zakk Wylde. Best news is Phil Anselmo is back and sounds good. I’ve seen some YouTube videos and they sound good and it looks like audiences are more than ready to see Pantera live again.
Their US tour is largely with Lamb of God but they’ve got dates opening for mfing Metallica and are playing the Aftershock festival in Sacramento.

Fans have wanted this for years. Love to see Phil remain with the band and create some more music. Too many years lost.

I had been aware that Skid Row was also touring with a new lead singer. He sounds better than Sebastian Bach has sounded in years.


That new lead singer of Skid Row is Erik Gronwall of Sweden.
That same Erik Gronwall as a lad in 2009 on their version of American Idol…… singing Skid Row. Cool story.

As an aside, it’s trippy as shit how well these guys sing in English with no discernible accent.

I liked Pantera got the Cowboys From Hell CD around here somewhere, never cared for SR, Big fan of Zakk Wylde & BLS, PS wonder what Vinnies wife thinks of this, not that it matters much but IIRC I read Phil was the reason for Panteras break up
