Trying to remove Edge

You can't remove it. Just download Chrome or Firefox, then set them to be the default browser when you first open them.

I use a program called CCLEANER . Its good in its free form to take anything off your computer. Their next level does everything I need

I also use BRAVE as a search engine and Protonmail as a personal email. Then NORD VPN. Every issue gone and never a commercial or ads.

In later versions of windows, edge is part of the core operating system, so you cannot uninstall it.

I don't use edge at all, so I use a combination of chrome and Firefox with duck duck go that blocks tracking requests.

I actually just found out that you can remove it, but you need to be familiar with using the command prompt and regedit. It's not difficult to do, but you need
to make sure that you have everything correct, as you can cause other issues if you type the command wrong (or create the registry entry wrong).

The later versions V11 you cannot remove it.

You guys are so good with computers. I'm just glad when mine works great! I don't know what the Fuck I'm doing. I try the best I can. When it pisses me off, I go buy a new one.

I've had my dell laptop since 2016, but it was very high end when I custom ordered it. Spent $3,200, but I've never had to reload it, and maintain it like it was new. Quad core i7 with 16 gigs of ram with a 4gig nvidia video card built onboard.

I've been a Sr. Systems Engineer since '97, so it's what I do for a living (or used to), but now am semi retired and only maintain my servers in the data center and a few select clients, but no new work.

But he didn't say which version of Windows he is using. If he is on Windows 10, he can do it. Personally I think that Microsoft should be forced to offer
people a way to delete it if they want to.

Personally I don't like Microsoft and how they force shit down your throat. I like and prefer Linux (mostly Ubuntu and CentOS), but 99% of software products are build for windows, so that's where the market is.

Half of my servers in the data center are Linux as they are 10x more efficient with hardware resources. I have somewhere around 30 Linux servers. In fact this site is running on one of those Linux servers.

Govt prefers Linux as well. Its mandated that all our operating systems and software is developed and run Linux. 99.9% of all govt hardware that operate in Aircraft, Ships and land vehicles all run Linux

I tried that but it did nothing but I could have done something wrong.
Windows 10 version 22 H 2 from what I can find.
