Despite all the damage and frustration Rick, I'd be happy it wasn't worse! I'm impressed with how well your well-built roof functioned in horrible conditions. You should be proud of that if nothing else.
That fence along the property line reminds me of the 6 ft fence I put up along my rear PL at the house we built in Sarasota in '78. The houses on the shell street behind our development weren't the best, if you know what I mean, and the guy had numerous vehicles, 4-wheelers and hydroplane swamp boats in his back yard. So, we decided to enclose the back yard when our 2 sons were little and running around everywhere...very nice wooded fence with a planted viburnums along it for 120 ft. I made the rear fence taller to obscure the property behind us. Later, years later?...I took a drive down the shell street and the guy had everything lined up against my fence like all his vehicles were on display.....funny, when he powered up his swamp boat the blow from the fan would make my fence move, but by that time the the viburnums were so large it really didn't bother me. Before we sold the house and moved to PA I actually made it a point to go meet the guy and he was actually really nice. But, I'm still glad I obscured his property from ours (I'm, certain it helped our property value too!).
Best wishes that you can come out of this with as little more frustration as possible. Life's too short!
Hang in there!
John
