LED taillights and dash lights - anyone find a working solution?

I get all my LEDs from superbright. . I'm currently doing my own small LEDs for a shift light and max RPM light. They will be hidden or unnoticeable until they are on. I have always heard the same on color lights in color lenses as well, which is what I run.

I had a 72 Impala with a 400/402, that must've been the car that had the clear lense turn sigs

I'd love to have a 70-72 BB Monte Carlo, guy named Gary lived near me that sold Montes & parts, $450 for decent driver quality Monte buckets & console that I thought was Waay Too much 10-11 yrs ago LOL, I shoulda bought'em

Mine was an optioned out car, 72 (of course). Power Bucket Seats, Cruise, A/C, THM400, Console etc but it had moon hubcaps, baby dookie brown and black vinyl top.

Got a bunch of bulbs for the Malibu but it’s no where near ready to try them out so I got some for the C10.
The bad first….. I used the vehicle guide on SuperbrightLeds website. Unfortunately I should have double checked first because they recommended the wrong style of bulb for the rear marker lights. Fortunately they make returns easy and pay for shipping.
Next, their 1157 style LED bulbs that I ordered for the front turn signals simply don’t seat into the original bulb holders. They look right but when you push them in, you can’t turn them to lock them in. I used the original bulbs to make sure that I had the two pins oriented right and tried both side and it was impossible to get their bulbs to seat. I even wrecked one trying to put it in. I’ll send back the undamaged one for a refund along with the incorrect marker lights.

The courtesy light bulb (looks like a giant glass fuse and snaps into what looks like fuse holder) seems a hair too long but you can make it work. I’m happy with the slightly improved light output. Not night and day but better.

Dash lights are still a work in progress. Got a few installed and am happy. Dash lights were pretty dim previously and are much better. The dimmer on the dash even works (which I understand is not always the case with LED conversions).

Front amber marker lights seem a bit better but again, not night and day difference. A931AA53-C6B0-497C-A6ED-CE2A40341AE2.jpeg75E15E13-1154-4951-961D-9E1E0DDE5461.jpeg4A91335B-6670-42C3-8CC7-1B1CEBD03556.jpeg

I need to clean those lenses on the gauges.

I was actually pretty happy with the exterior lights before I did this but wanted to go through the lights just to make sure things were reliable by cleaning up the contacts and applying dielectric grease. I think for the taillights I’ve heard that cheap LED bulbs are not noticeably better so I’ll likely just stick with what I’ve got and replace them with LED or higher output incandescent when they burn out.
Headlights I’m just going to buy a relay kit and run halogens.
