I thought I’d drop in and say Hello!

Most of my cars are gone so the wife could retire early. I still have the 68 Camaro ragtop, a “forever” project. Gone are my 68 427 Corvette and my late, great 11-sec street 1970 El Camino

Welcome kettbo! Nice El Camino! Got any pictures of the Camaro?
My metal work, prep and paint. First time a charm!

This was two years of me doing auto body class 2/3 days. Sad to say it has been home 8 years. Racing and improving the El Camino, working on the Corvette, a household move, remodeling one then a second home plus lately lots of travel. Some serious health stuff several years back. So, am out in the garage now, have cleared clutter away from the car and fixin’ to get after this!

Under the hood, a rather angry 327 based on the factory block. Forged slugs, hyd roller cam. A Super Stock racer did the 2.02/1.60 camel hump heads, Eddy EPS intake with oil tube, assorted Holleys here. Backing this up is a beefed 2004R O/D trans. Out back a 12 bolt, 3.73 with posi and Moser axles. With that trans and gearing it will be like a th350 with 4.05 gears yet cruise like 2.5x gears in OD. It has a 68 z28 steering box, big sway bar and other handling goodies. I upgraded to power front disc from the dubious 4-wheel drum

With this said, I have many BBC things under various benches and on shelves. Some day hoping to come across a worthy 70 SS needing my love.

Pic here is me putting a move on a pal with a much faster car....and my first 11-sec pass. Middle of the road street 454, 3.42 gears, through 2.5” mufflers, 3995# with me in the car.

Welcome to the site of sane people who are Chevelle enthusiasts. We are a relatively like minded group. I haven't seen your name for a while. Glad you're here.
