It will be interesting to see how this technology plays out in the real world.

What will be more interesting is to see the long term effects on the roads if they are mostly made of steel.

The wheels they are currently producing are geared towards haul trucks (mining). I am not sure that they would be able to use steel on passenger cars or pickup trucks.
