Hey Gas Vehicle Owners!!

My son once filled his Jeep up with gas, only to find out later after it died on the highway that the diesel tanker truck driver screwed up and unloaded his diesel load into a gasoline tank at the station in Ohio! Well, needless to say that station owed some people new engines, etc.! My son's Jeep was never the same after that, even though he had it gone through to make it run on gas again.

Some Sheetz stations here in PA also have non-ethanol gas, but you need to hunt for it. I'll have to try WAWA...one is close to me. (y)

I have several non-ethanol stations nearby, the Chevelles, mowers and boat drink it.

Here is my beef with the diesel pumps. People park at the pump, go into the store and take forever to come back out. in the mean time I am sitting there waiting at one of the only pumps I can use.

Murphy Stations are the stupidist ones. The diesel pumps are in the middle of the island so I block the whole thing to fill. And don't take a camper into one of them, there is no room to maneuver.

When we had our Class A motorhome and we towed our vehicle behind it (on a tow dolly), the setup was over 65' long...... try getting that maneuvered around.... we'd pay extra just to pull into truck stops to fill up.

Luckily we 90 gallons (2 tanks) and could drive about 700 to 750 miles on it. Back then people would stop and ask, "How much does it cost to fill that thing up?", and I'd respond, "If you have to ask, you don't want to know, but I can tell you it's not cheap."

I can tell you it was 3 complete fill ups to get from Connecticut to Florida, and 3.5 fill ups on the return trip.

Most of our trips I can run with a tank and then I fill up unhitched. When we go to FL I use Flying Js because of the RV Lane or I go where the big rigs are but I fill and move away from the pumps as fast as I can, those guys are working and time is money.

Not towing our Excursion can go from Greensboro NC to St Petersburg and back to Orlando on 3/4 of a tank. Towing I can make it to Southern South Carolina before I need to fill. Going out west this summer will be more fuel stops because I will be filling at 1/2 tank down, don't want to run low on fuel in Eastern Montana.
