2022 Ford Maverick

Dumb. Ford Maverick was a car and now they are calling it a truck? Almost looks like a Honda Ridgeline.

Ford already had to refund owners for not being able to deliver the heavier tow package. Last truck made like that was the Subaru Baja

Was looking at the Ford Maverick to Replace my 2005 Ford Ranger that has 184,000 Km

Now looking at the Newer Ranger or the Nissan Frontier in case I want to Tow my Car on a Trailer

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger, 3rd engine, 339,000 miles, and have been considering dropping a 327 in it. Body is in perfect shape.

I went with the V 6 in my 05 Ranger because Chevy/Ford cannot make a 4 Cy that will last
and get 30 Miles per Gal on Hwy/Road Trips with the 4 Speed Auto & 4.10 RearEnd Gears

I have the V6 3.0 in mine. The truck itself is fine, just lacks power in my opinion. That's why I was considering dropping a 327 in it. I have a stock 327 (complete) from a '67 Camaro that got wrecked at 30k.

If you did then there would be some very Surprised/Unhappy Ram Trucks out there who got Spanked by it

Those Ram Truck guys never try me when I am driving my Chevelle
but when they pull up beside me when I am in the little ole Ranger they show off

FOR THE MOST PART, I am not, and never have been a contemporary Ford fan. I never cared for the Maverick. BUT, I did think the Grabber with performance option and a 4sp was a rather neat and somewhat desirable car.
I must admit that Ford has hit a home run with the Mustang, and something like an upgraded and modernized Maverick might be a success---------------MAYBE.

And to that, I will say that GM and particularly Chevrolet, has missed the boat with their failure to capitalize on an American version of the Holden and offer a Malibu SS with healthy V8 and 5-6spOD. Unfortunately, the dumazzes at GM did not call me for an opinion.

Not only that they have missed many opportunities, but Closing down Production at the Oshawa Plant in Ontario Canada
that had been producing Cars there for over 100 years was a BIG mistake
my 67 was made there and now I will never buy a New GM Car or Truck
and I tell everyone I know/meet why not to

I am looking at other Small Trucks to buy next year to Haul stuff to our Lot in the Country ;
NISSAN Frontier - Full Frame

NEW 2021 FORD MAVERICK PICKUP - Unibody

They dumped the sedan market because their focus is on trucks now..... that's their bread and butter. I've always had ford trucks (except that one 1980 Chevrolet 4x4 pickup).

The Fusion was a great selling car. I have 3 of them for a reason, I don't want a SUV for my daily driver, I like having a sedan. More economical and lower purchase cost.
