If you get a harness specific to your vehicle is there and splicing needed? Are the terminal connectors already attached? I seem to remember people talking about having to buy a specific set of crimpers.

This is like what I bought for a crimper tool. I would advise you to practice with some spare wire and terminals to get the knack of using the tool. Yeah, it worked really good for what I wanted it for and I have used them since then. I could maybe see buying the better crimpers if you were making the harnesses up from scratch and had a lot of crimps to do.Mine looks almost identical to that one.
