new guy over here

Thanks for the Welcomes! And thanks to Pete 67 for steering me over here. I didn't even know about this site until texting with Pete the day after Christmas.

One not-so-good pic of the '68 L79 Malibu at MCACN 2015 in the Barn Find section of the show. When I bought the car, it had those mag wheel hubcaps on it with whitewall tires. The build sheet shows it was ordered that way from the factory back in 1968.The car still looks like this today except for new stock steel wheels and redline tires. Got to take some current pics of the car as it looks now and get them posted. This car is identical to the one I ordered new back in '67. But that's a whole 'nuther story....

If you look at the top of the page we put members cars up there, so if you'd like to have your car up on top, go here and post your pic there and we'll get it on top with the rest of the cars.

Steve, my oldest son Cale applied for a job working for your son at Action... Josh said he wanted to hire him, but insurance wouldn't cover someone under 18 working in the shop.

Dang... would have been great experience for a young gearhead.

One of my best friend's older brothers bought a 68 SS396 brand new and would give me a ride to school.
It had an open rear and would burn rubber (one tire) for hundreds of feet ! :)
It was fun and sometimes scary riding in that back seat ! LOL
It was white with black vinyl top and 4 speed.
