Facebook is a wonderful thing but there are people out there that will do your account harm.
When you install it first thing to do is your security settings.
Make your email that ONLY one.And be very careful what you click on or who you friend.
Also do this.It will keep your account secure.The check is only once on the device you use.


Here is the scenario on how we got hacked.

Clicked on a bible verse..Then liked it, Person immediately wanted to be friends..My Wife didn't but the trap was already set
The hacker for ever how they got in added his Email,then removed our phone number then our email address..
Changed the password..Post lots of garbage got the account restricted.

Here is how to reclaim your account.
There is NO phone number to call,But a chat feature from 8am to 10Pm
We managed to get back in.and our phone number and tried to add our email back
That must have triggered a lock down of the account.
We then needed to prove the account was ours.
Had to send a for of ID I sent the drivers License photo withe number blacked out
Account was still restricted,Which you could not post anything.Getting back on is easier with your phone than a desktop for us.

After we were back in waiting to get unrestricted.I made a complete backup of the account.I will post this procedure .

After we were unrestricted..I then removed the profile photo the hacker it was a black circle with a duck in it and writing that said GOD

I am going to make some sticky links for help on facebook soon.I will say again Security is number 1 of you are going to Facebook.
 
Since we're on this now, a while back FB wanted a cell number, so I entered mine, then I was getting notifications on my phone. Didn't want that so I went on FB & deleted mine number, but I'm still getting them. I can't figure out how to make them stop.

The cell number was if you get locked out use it to get back in..you really need your number in there..Because bad is out there.You have to protect your account..if they get in they can also attack your friends

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Apps and scroll down until you see Facebook.
  3. Tap to open the general settings of your Facebook app.
  4. Navigate to Notifications. This list contains settings of how notifications appear on your phone.
  5. Toggle the tab to turn off Show notifications, which will revoke the app's access to display alerts.

If you have access to a pc

On your PC, do the following:
  1. Open the Phone Link app and go to Notifications.
  2. Select Customize. The Settings page will appear.
  3. Under Choose which apps I get notifications from, you'll see a list of all the apps that have sent notifications to your PC. ...
  4. For any app in the list, you can turn notifications Off or On.
 
  1. Tap in the top right of Facebook.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll down and tap Password and security.
  4. Scroll down and tap Use two-factor authentication. You may be asked to enter your password at this point.
  5. Tap Use authentication app or Text message (SMS).


How two-factor authentication works on Facebook.​

Very important to use this if you are going to have a Facebook.. Read above my experience. Google authentication is a good one to use also
 
My FB account has been on lockdown since day 1. Nothing on mine is public. I also go in every other week or so and block all the fact checker profiles. Although I am surprised I haven't been permabanned for some of the comments I leave on news organization and politician pages.
 
I would start by verifying your ownership of your Facebook account. It is the easiest to do using a smart phone. Take a item with your name on it like id white out or tape over the account or any other personal info. After you get your account back. Change the password and do a 2 factor authenticity step..to secure your info. There is a chat feature on FB but there is usually a lot of people waiting. Also it closes by 10PM..Let me know if I can help more..if by chance you have control of your FB please change your password and the 2 factor
