I recently woke this thing up from like an 8 year slumber. Forgot how much I like riding it around the back yard and pulling stuff with it. My dad bought it in I think 1988. It's 81 years old and still runs and does what it does although it really needs an engine rebuild. Maybe I'll tear it apart and do a full restoration on it eventually.

That's really close or closer to what my grandad had. I really thought about bringing it home when he passed. It had the narrow fronts. Great tractors.

My grandpa had one, spent a lot of time riding behind him on the drawbar. Always had a soup can on the exhaust when sitting. Good times, good times......

My grandpa (who passed away last summer at 102) always told the same story of a Farmall H... about how his '39 Ford 9N outperformed the neighbor's '39 Farmall H hauling hay when both tractors were new.

"The Farmall H couldn't pull a setting hen off its' roost in high gear" -Grandpa Fred

I grew up on my Grandfathers 1952 H. He bought it new that year just before my father was born. Thats what I learned to drive on. We pulled a two row corn head with it during harvest. The rest of the year it was used to cut hay with a sickle bar side cutter. Now we own a 1979 IH 1586 and a 1962 FARMALL 504.
