Repro Dynacorn Fender Review Thumbs Up!!

I fitted the two new Dynacon front fenders on my '70 Elky project today. They came from two different suppliers and one appears to be older than the other, but same part#. To my absolute amazement, the right side literally fell onto the car! No shim at the cowl and firewall bolts, and a small one at the 'a' pillar to bring it out a bit. The left side took a bit of work, but not a lot. It has shims on cowl, firewall and 'a' pillar but not a lot. The gap is good except at the top, it is too wide. Anything I did to close it took the other dimensions out of whack. I'm gonna sleep on it, and I bet next weekend when I look at it, I'll be able to tell what I need to do.
I am very happy with these, once I finalize the left side, I'll try the Goodmark cowl hood that I got for a smoking deal.

I've had fairly decent luck with the 70 Dynacorn fenders I've used. My only real complaint is the RH one doesn't have the same inner structure as the OEM does up front. I usually graft in the original so it looks right.

I got the left one lined up, I loosened the core support bolt and slid it back and shimmed it up a hair and now have good gaps. When you say inner structure, are you referring to where it fastens to the inner fender and core support? Mile line up great in both areas, especially at the core support by the headlamp.

It has more to do with aesthetics. The front 14" that comes off the rad support is a mirror of the LH side like where the washer bottle sits (unless they have fixed it since then) and doesn't have the ledge to snap the wire harness clip in for the lead to the alternator.
