I stopped by the engine builders shop I know today so we (Paul & me) could see if he’d had a chance to open up his 289 that’s in for a 331 stroker build but not yet since he’s swamped but I was looking at a set of LS heads he was working on and asked if the wire fire rings he was installing in the heads stock and same about the Huge valve sizes? Well No all custom to build a 2K+ hp forced inj. Engine, I guess the new (to me) local race stuff is Roll Racing from 40 mph to the 1st to hit 160mph and now it’s pushed to 250mph On The Streets! 😳 I didn’t think to ask if he also had to cut not only the heads for the Fire Ring but the block too

Roll racing is big in the South.

The guy who delivered my containers moved up here from Florida. He said 2 of his best friends died when a drag radial came apart at 180mph in a 1400hp CTS-V.

Middle of the night street racing has really changed since the last time I was doing it in the 80's, early 90's one of my best friends had a 70 Camaro with a 496 2X 750 Holleys sitting on either a 671 or 871 Weiand blower, Nitrous (Don't know the size and he never filled the bottle that I recall) with an M22 & 2.73 rear gears, 140 mph was purring along and that was the fastest I remember riding in the car, I got his built 1970 Vette 454/467 525-550hp engine and dropped it in my 73 Elky and it was ok but nothing like these other guys had, Gandy bridge use to be the place and guess it still is from what Ripper Wrench was saying but I just can't imagine 250 mph on a highway, Track designed for it sure but not a highway

I guess you don’t need to worry about cross traffic on a Bridge😳

Wonder how fast the bike was going?
85mph and that seems slow around here I guess, Kathy asked me to quit riding a little while back, said if I get Ran Over who’ll be there to help her? and she has a great point, I Absolutely Love riding my bikes but there’s just too many Fn Idiots driving (or Attempting to) out there that Shouldn’t be on the road

A cpl times I’ve had people pull out in front of me, once I was already slowing down for a red light and a young girl thought it’d be a good idea to pull out of a gas station dart across to get in a left turn lane to get onto US19 right in front of me, if she didn’t get into that turn lane I’d of ran into the back of her car since my 1972 Harley had 1972 type brakes but fairly new shoes/pads but 1st year for front disc brakes, I fish tailed a little from locking up the rear drum brake but was slowing before anyway, 2-3 other times but that was long enough lol
