2009 Tires Like New

Also noticed my 4 whl disc brake pads are very worn so changing them tomorrow, O’Reilys said not to use Ceramic on factory rotors could cause problems? anyone know about this?
Ceramics don't wear the rotors like semi-metallics. They are all I ever use.
The 2000 Camaro Z28's (those are the brakes on my car) were factory stock ceramics.

My best friend won the 1st or 2nd Ugly Truck contest held at the Tampa Stadium in the late 70’s early 80’ and won a 3’ to 4’ tall trophy and got to drink a few beers with Jerry Reed
He defined being cool. Loved that guy; you could walk right up to him at a Vandy football game and have a long conversation

I called Advanced, AutoZone and O’Reilys getting prices and a guy I deal with about old car parts said my truck shouldn’t use Ceramic on factory rotors,,,? He’s the only one that said there could be an issue but I’d rather spend a little more for better pads and only about $50 more for front & rear for Ceramic, I looked on Summit but need these pretty quick and there is about a 1/16” to 1/8” ridge so I might be better off buying organic pads then when I get back buying the Z23 kit Summit has and putting that on the truck, haha another project but I doubt I’ll ever sell this truck that I bought new with the prices of trucks now

I use ceramic pads on my trucks and cars. Little to get used to (until they seat), but very little brake dust and they last so much longer and the discs are always in great shape. In my F250 crew diesel I put ceramic pads in it 150k miles ago and they are still good (bout 1/2 to 2/3 worn now, but still work fine).

Now I’m wondering will Ceramic pads that are broke into stock rotors have a problem being reused with new rotors after roughly 2,000 miles? I can get the pads tomorrow but not the rotors (brand?) from Summit till later Edit I think I’ll buy the organic pads for now and put a better set of rotors & pads on when I get back

I put new rotors on when I installed the ceramic pads. I know tht they don't seat well with worn / grooved rotors.

I’m just going to put whatever is cheapest for the trip then order a 4 wheel rotor and pad kit from Summit when I get back plus get free shipping from my stuff in my cart, Summit has good prices on a cpl brand kits, rotors aren’t what I’d say bad but do have a ridge at top & bottom of each rotor, have just under 67,000 miles so might as well change them
