Jon may be tempted here......Posted all over on every forum I visited this morning and for good reason. These colors, top and options would have been my 2nd car in '84 or so. This example is stunning imo, and revives the sheer beauty of what chevy had to offer in the early 70s. What a nice ride~

Early model 72, factory body side moldings are hard to find. Wheels are correct vintage but wring color,

I LIKE IT!!!!

I was never a 71/72 fan either, though many liked the rear bumper. I've seen some put a 71/72 rear bumper for the four taillights on a 70 to match the four headlights. Not my style either.

If you want a 70, buy a 70, leave the 71s and 72s the way they are!

Frankly I have never liked the 64-67 body styles I guess because I grew up around 69s and 72s

I prefer the '71's front end above the '72, but prefer both over the '70, same with the rear. The ONLY thing I'd change on this car is that annoying seat buzzer.....gone on day 1.

I had an opportunity to buy a '71 5 years ago that all the bodywork had been done on (half assed though) and the guy was giving a choice of either a corvette 327 or an LS motor to go with the car for $8k and I offered him $7k cash and he wouldn't take it.

If I would have gotten the car I would have swapped the front and rear to a '70. Wouldn't have cloned it an SS, just left it as a clean Malibu.

Back when I was 16 I wanted to buy a '70 Chevelle that had a 307, but the guy wouldn't budge off $500 and at 16 that was big money when you could buy a beater car for $100. Kinda pissed at myself for letting both get past me.

I bought my first 70 (white) at 14yrs old for $1500 in 1987. Had a 307. Outstanding body. Lady brought it in to put it on the corner of my Dads Chevron Service Station to sell after her husband passed. Lots of memories.

If it is a pre Jan 1 72 it will not have a buzzer or the "passive restraint" belts.

Funny, I would like for my buzzer to work. I do want to get rid of the exploding seatbelt buckles and passive restraint belts in my Gold car, the Bronze car's belts are so much better.

I really like this car on Bat, could’ve bought a 72 with a fresh 383, new interior and body work done very nice for $6K about 10 yrs ago but passed like a Dumbass

There is another explanation..... I won't go into detail, but there were a number of cars I had where females I dated were bent over inspecting the hoods closely, and a few that sat on the hood but their legs dangled over the front.

That's all I have to say about that.

There is also a reason bench seats were AWESOME!!

I was communing with mother nature under the stars. A blanket on the ground didn't work for me as I didn't want bugs interfering while I was intent on entertaining my female company, but a warm hood always made the female I was with comfortable.

This was of course only during the summer months.
