Here's another question... Do you think it would be okay if I just rebuilt it myself and did nothing with the finish? I guess I wasn't expecting such a high price tag...
I got the carb for free 20 years ago from my brother. I think I'll just rebuild it and see how it works on the 396. Thanks for all the input guys!
I appreciate all the advice guys. Don't know when I'm gonna get to it exactly. I'm still in the process of weeding through the sheetmetal issues, but I want to work on the engine too. So much to do!!!
