TV icon Norman Lear

His shows in the 70s were so instrumental in race relations and elevating the profile of blacks on TV. And he did it in a way that touches on race issues but was real and not pandering. Today’s black TV is largely garbage. Just pandering fantasy shit that portrays blacks as all super attractive, “ballers”…. The 0.5% that are record label executives and millionaire entrepreneurs.

This is good shit right here. Hilarious.
