The other day my editing computer went down, and it's been hell and kicking my ass trying to get it working again. Seems one of the newer Microjunk updates screwed everything up. F- Bill Gates that asshole and his minions.

Is the OS older than Windows 10 ?

Can you tell which one failed thru event viewer or the update log?

What is the system doing?

The latest Windows 10 update crashed the computer sending it into a loop mode on a restart, then to top it off the sucker took away my admin account and disabled it. After watching many youtube vids and things to try, I had to go into BIOS and change some binary code numbers and after another restart and some putzing around I finally got it up and running tonight. Now I am doing a backup before I do anything else with this machine.

You were not able to enter Safe Mode? At least you did not do a restore and revert back losing everything, I have had a bunch of people do that and once formatted there is no recovery unless you have an external backup.

The Admin password... Always have a second account.

I could, but somehow the admin privilege's were turned off after the failed update.

Were you able to find which update failed?
Yes, and the computer did fail again after I got it going. I did re-boot it with the clean install repair disc and this time as the computer was going through it's startup it installed the update without a problem, so I am not sure what cause the whole "failed" attempt like 5 times. Now the computer is working and I did do a restart to make sure and it came right up. I must have scared it when I said I was going to do a clean install:ROFLMAO:

You kicked it in the ass! (y)

Well this failed again 2 more times, but I kicked it's ass for sure this time. After finally getting that pesky update that was causing the problem, I took that phuker out. Next I did same thing to this computer that I did with my wife's. I found the video that allows one to extend the pause time on Windows updates out to 3654 days, so now I have my updates starting again in 2060:ROFLMAO:
F-Microcrap, there's always a workaround. I put in all my old programs and this sucker works like new. I know it's golden now as this is the same thing I did on my Wife's computer back in Dec. and I have not had any trouble with that one either. If anyone wants yo know what to to let me know and I'll post up how to do the prosses.

If I disappear it means I am either dead or the MAC is.
When the MAC dies so does my on-line presence.
I just have no plan to ever buy another computer, the cost is too high for something that demands replacement every two - three years.
Fuck forced obsolescence.

I’m not smart enough or have enough free time in my life to keep a Microsoft computer functional. Nothing but frustration in my experience. I’ve also never used any form of antivirus that didn’t make a PC so slow it’s unusable.
Mac isn’t perfect but I’ve got a 15 year old Mac desktop that still gets the job done.

I’ve also had great experience with cheap chromebooks for simple stuff like email and web surfing. My sit in bed and watch TV laptop is a sub $100 Chromebook that I got as a Walmart Black Friday deal. It was literally $79 or $89 and surfs YouTube perfectly. I tried to play online Roblox video game with my daughter and it was too slow for that but otherwise it’s been a flawless performer.

So far our Avast anti-virus has not slowed down any of our computers with the free version.

Macs do not get obsoleted that fast. I am on a 2013 Mac Pro right now. Granted, it won't run the latest OS, but it still gets security updates. Plus, the Mac hardware always lasts longer than stuff from the Windows world. That being said, I am looking to upgrade to a desktop and a laptop that have Apples own chips in them. I will be buying used (most likely, as that is pretty much what I have always done), but if I can find a new one at a decent price, I will go that route.
