I had wrote about this but forgot what section, anyway I put the Pas side door gasket on over a year ago and it needs some adjusting but recently put the Drv side on and it sticks out bad, Will adjusting the striker pull the door in over 1/2”?

It’s supposed to be 80* mid week think that’ll help squish the new gaskets if I leave the car in the sun all day?

Soffseal I'm guessing..
I think it's Metro since I bought some of each, I only bought trunk and door gaskets and the gasket that goes in the roofline for the windows to seal, maybe only those 2 gaskets were Metro and door & trunk were Soffseal?? I'll look through my folder of receipts later today, no way to get Soffseal to Squish? I also bought new vent wing gaskets that fit very good, Metro? I bought these around 2016

I've always heard that one of the best ways to install door gaskets is to lay them out in the hot sun before attempting to install them. From experience on my 1972 BMW 2002tii when I installed new gaskets many years ago that the manufacturer of the gaskets DOES MATTER too! After tiring of slamming my doors, I bought some new gaskets from BMW and 2nd time around "what a difference". The first set I bought were found to be made of a too dense section of rubber which made door closure really hard! As long as the hinges and door stops are in the best location, good rubber gaskets should not make for a difficult closure.

I moved the striker on the Pas door in 1/4” and it shuts very good now, Drv door I opened and checked for any pinch marks so not seeing any I put my R hand flat on the door near the latch, L hand on the handle and slammed the Piss out of it and it closed good 👍👍🙂

Al said he likes Metro, so that's what I'm ordering !
They even call their rubber "supersoft." So maybe it is ?

The texture of the rubber is "everything"....that's what the problem was with my '72 BMW 2002tii. Switching out the rubber door seals made all the difference. Sometimes, the manufacturer just gets the cross-section too dense.

That could be what’s going on with mine, it’s kind of tough

Didn’t realize I bought these almost 10 yrs ago, trunk seal came from AMD, door seals from NPD so I’ll try to see what seals NPD sold 10 yrs ago
