Did Not Know Tesla Batteries Were Removable

"Car experts don't recommend charging your car's battery inside as a faulty battery could cause an explosion or fire."

Why would you take the battery inside the house? I'm betting they didn't use the correct charger either......

The older batteries in teslas (pre 2022) were lithium ion, but as of late, they have been switching over to LiFePo4.

I don't think they are using those batteries, as they are the ones used to power homes. They are using LFP batteries, which are made by CATL. The issue with them is that they are lithium iron and can not be charged as quickly.

Here is an article explaining the older battery technology and the newer (LFP). The article explains the original batteries were NCA (Nickel-Cobalt-Aluminum) or NCM (Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese), and some tesla cars have moved to LFP.

The older batteries which some used in their homes were indeed Lithium Ion as mentioned in this article.

Lithium Ion can charge faster than Lithium Iron Phosphate, but the stability of the lithium ion comes into question as it is no where near as stable as LFP.

All of their batteries have lithium in them. The NCA/NCM/LFP are simply different formulations of the lithium structure.

I was already aware of that. Just different chemistries. There are actually 6 different lithium chemistries, but I'm sure you already knew that.

Pretty sad when you think the decades ago the democrats would be the 1st. ones to err on the side of safety on stuff like this. Boy have those POS's turned their backs on us and crap products like this make us less safe which could be prevented. Remember Ralph Nader? he's be on this battery stuff like fly's on shit over battery fires.

Nader was never sincere, just another rat chasing the cheese.
Several other cars had very similar suspension.
The few he did also attack, such as VW, told him to pound sand and continued with their same designs.
He never bothered with FIAT, Sunbeam, and several other small makes, not deep enough pockets to pick.
GM was the big target and they were the ones plucked.
I would happily have another 65 or newer Corvair.
The early ones were fine too, just not liking the bar of soap styling.

Just looked, the old fraud is still alive. :poop:
