Anyone done a 4spd auto conversion and installed a vacuum TC lockup?

Last time I had a manual switch on the dash. I’d like to put in a vacuum switch. Anyone done it? I see now there are kits you can get.

I have, I kept the manual switch because I didn't do the 4th gear lockup. I used a vac. sw. from the salvage yard but was always going to get one of these adjustable ones.
I used the brake light switch from a cruise control car too so if you tap the brake it unlocks too.

So I’m thinking, is it really simple like adding a vacuum switch in place of the manual switch? I had a manual switch before. I still have the Single wire plug for the transmission. I’m thinking the vacuum switch and the cruise brake switch may be all I need.

Why not a pressure switch kit? I’m using one from IIRC Monster trans, power from IGN fuse box spade to Pres switch then over trans to plug, seems to work good when you Nail the gas locking up conv but I haven’t been on the Hwy yet so I left enough wire for a Lighted On/Off switch and bypass ability of the pres switch Edit thinking more about this a 2nd hot wire from under dash Lighted switch should light up when the Pres switch is powered ( back feed power) letting you know it’s Locked Up, then whenever you want you can flip switch to LU too, sound good or bad?

W/O another switch it will LU as soon as you hit 2nd gear.

I’m thinking of running a 2nd + wire to the load side of my pressure switch to the Lighted toggle switch I have after mounting it next to my 3 gauge under dash cluster, when power is going to the LU control plug it should light up the toggle or I can flip the toggle on when I want the conv to LU, that’s my thinking anyway, see anything wrong?

There is a way to add an LED light to indicate when the lock is on, seems like that would be the same thing

But a lighted toggle could bypass a vacuum or pressure switch, actually any toggle & a light
