Just looking at a pic of under floor and looks like I knocked out the shim stack above a cement block, guess it had no weight so Oh Well 😆

In the past Kathy has said she’d like more cabinet space, I found a deal on a bigger House 👍😆 She said NO!! so I’m thinking get rid of 1 of my file cabinets and since I need to make some kind of cabinet for the new DW might as well make /buy an L shape cabinet with L top to give her more space for ??? I think when the DW door is open can’t open some cab doors but that’s not a big deal how often are both needing to be opened lol

I got the Hot supply pretty well roughed in for my plumber friend and most of the drain today before going to a surprise Bday party for one of our girls 30th Bday, what do you think (Kevin in particular 😁) about the drain going 1” through wall to 1.5” clean out & P trap, 3ish foot of 1.5” pipe then reducing bushing to 1” and gray electric sweep 90* and 1” to the outside clean out? I’m not sure yet if I can put the pipe under ground yet as I had to stop to get ready for Bday party, all schedule 40 pipe

Going through the wall at 1" and dropping into a 1 1/4" is fine, but reducing it from 1 1/4" to 1" isn't going to work too well. Also, using electrical conduit would be a big red flag to a building inspector. For a McGyver repair short term it's be fine, but long term, no.

If you plan on using 1" for the drain, start with 1", then increase to 1 1/4" (or 1 1/2" which is standard) to tie into the main drain. Don't use electrical pvc for water. You can buy schedule 40 1 1/2 pvc sweep 90s to fit in that corner at HD or Lowes.

I was in Lowes yesterday looking for the parts but didn't see any sweep 90's, it's 1" about 8" through wall then 1.5" sweep Tee (Lowes guy called it something else) they didn't have 1.25" sweep Tee or P trap and I wanted something like a Bell end to reduce from 1.5" to 1" but the guy said all they make is a reducing bushing, I told him my concern about the hard edge inside collecting build up but the guy wasn't too swift mentally, I'll go to an actual plumbing supply tomorrow and see if I can find better parts, digging up the clean out today to see what I'll need to connect there, I'd like to connect under the grass so the pipe is under ground from the house, only a cpl feet but it would look better, plumber friend said just buy a roll of hose but tree rodents would chew through that before I'd be done hooking it up

Kathys ex husband makes forica cabinets (made the kitchen cabs that are here) and last evening at Brittanys Bday party he was sitting at a big table next to me and telling me about a squirrel getting in his attic and tearing up a duct I installed 10+ yrs ago, I was talking about an L shape base cabinet so were going to Barter a new duct for the cabinet but Im paying for materials, seems fair to me but Kathy wants him to pay materials too, Ive already got the new duct so I dont care about getting payed for the duct, cabinet will be more labor to make anyway

Still waiting for Lowes to get the dishwasher in from their warehouse, gal said Tues to Fri, I called yesterday and they said they only get delivery on Tues & Fri so either this Fri or next Tues itll be in, I did change the drain by removing the 1” elec sweeps, nobody makes a sweep 1” plumbing 90 from what Southern plumbing supply and HD & Lowes said so I used 45’s to make a sweep type 90, went from 1.5”-1.25”-1”, Southern supply guy said a 5/8” line would be fine but rodents would chew it up I think, my plumber friend called yesterday wanting to know whats up, Im letting him tie things together after I get the DW then Ill finish strapping to the wall

I picked up the DW today and my plumber friend came by to take a look and said go get a cpl things and Ill hook it up now but I wasnt ready still needed to do what my Romanian GGma did, get on hands & knees and clean the floor 😂 so hes coming back Sunday afternoon after a small repair to hook it up, I have 3-120v circuits in this 4”x4” box so going to use 1 for fridge, 1 for DW and 1 for microwave by breaking the copper tab on the side of the recep making sure its on an opposite leg in panel and will share the same neutral, refridge will be on the 3rd circuit and on another neutral thats already in that box, I guess I was thinking of adding stuff in the room in 2011 when I remodeled it lol

Well Katys ex husband made the DW cabinet, we’re very happy with it, made of kitchen cabinet grade Maple plywood but I need to make whatever I can to keep it from speading or trying to fold in on itself, think I have that figured out though

Put cleats on the back wall to hold it in place (inside the cabinet). The dishwasher shouldn't be that deep. Cleats at the bottom should work out.
