67 Impala SS

Auto tipis is showing a 67 SS Impala 283 auto but says in the article manual?? red/red that sold for over $29K and says value is at $39+K average for similar cars and $100K for finest, Stupid iPhone changed words again, I think it was Auto topia but 1 word, this damn phone said something in Chinese that I think means No Do Dat Spelling!!!
Rick,

Re: your iPhone, you can turn that off. I hate my phone trying to tell me what I am trying to say. Just turn off spell-correction, but if you type fast like me you need to watch your spelling! 🥴

I love the look of your '67 Impala and the 327/250HP is a stellar engine...I put a new one in my '55 Chevy in the mid 60's....loved that engine...plenty of power! My car looks like your Impala's "little brother"! 🤣 '67 was "the" best year! IMG_2191.jpg

What makes me think 400 is, it had a kick down switch on the intake also.
'67 was the first year for GM's TH400....only had the Powerglide before '67. You could still get the PG in '67 I believe but that Auto is a 3-speed for sure (so TH400)! The Maple Motors guy said it was a 283? I thought it was a 327. I really like the car overall, but I had a tough time getting my '67 Chevelle in my house garage....no way this one would fit! My detached garage is larger thankfully. This nice Impala has its flaws sure, but overall it's definitely a desirable car for someone to enjoy as-is or restore. It has a great interior....get a better steering wheel...I'd put an optional simulated wood grain steering wheel on there.

I gotta tell ya, I wish my Chevelle started up like your Impala! Wow!! I generally hate Rochester Carbs (prefer Holley's), but mine isn't the original carb anyway....so I may find a proper date coded Rochester 4-barrel replacement (or just a proper correct rebuild from National Carburetor or elsewhere for reasonable $). The prices on date correct rebuilds are insane these days! Currently, it takes a lot to get it started sadly...I believe it may be the choke (it's a rebuilt 1969 Carter-Built Quadrajet for a 350 Small Block per the book). Any carburetor experts on here? I know Beth has helped me before. I recently got my Harrison Radiator installed (sweet!), so the carburetor is next to address. Sorry, I don't intend to steel your thread!

I have no real feel for value but you know what you paid for it and what it's worth.....so like others have said, I'd price it a little high and come down if you want to. You can always look at the auction sold history on Bring a Trailer for values. Good luck!

PS Did you actually post any photos of your car?...I was making my remarks from the Maple Motors Impala...sorry if that was only a comparable example.

Mine is black, I think I posted a pic a long time ago, I'll have to where all the pics went.
I had on drive steal a lot of my pics off of my computers.
Black 67 SS Impala 👍👍 If paint looks as good as the Maple Motors red car I’d start at $20K, does it drive as good as the Maple car? I didn’t see how much they’re asking for the Maple red car either

Triple black 👍👍😍😍 Damn if I didn’t spend my rainy day $ on another Harley and whole house genset I’d be on my way to your house and Im not kidding, No way I’d let that go for under high teens and I think I’d start low 20’s

That's a cherry ride 77! Do you have a pic of the lower rear window molding used with the vinyl top.......super sexy looking trim.

All the pics got stolen by one drive & never found any of the 67 except this one that was on FB.
Are you asking about the red by the rear window? If so, the guy that painted the car masked off the trim but when I got I put new on & it was a bit different & the original color was showing so I used red pinstripe tape.

I was thinking of the '68 impala fastback with vinyl top, not the '67.......my mistake. It's a wide, ribbec, blacked out molding, between the deck lid and base of rear window. Super unique and a huge focal point to the car.
