LOL I still like them, just would never own one !Ouch !!!
Wish I’d kept my 73 that I dropped an LS5 from a 70 Vette built to 467 around 525-550 maybe more? HP, built T-350 high stall conv, rust & ding free but I owed $800ish to a Harley shop for a custom engine rebuild and chrome stuff so away went the Elky, had a solid lifter cam and stock VC didn’t fit but I didn’t build the engine and don’t remember specs, it was a real Hoot
I was just in the middle of finding out my wife was Fucking around, moving into a garage apt, and had 5 Harleys all apart to move into where I’d be living, making $11 an hour and hadnt much time to get everything done, I was way more into riding at the time but the Elky was my only car at that time tooI'd have worked extra hours to pay for the custom engine rebuild and kept the Elky.

Shit mine was going to move out into an apt but our daughter grew up in that house, I said I’ll move out Edit it got Crazier when she asked me to move back in about 5-6 months later Oh and she still had a Bfriend and I had a Gfriend but she had her own placeI got nothing but the clothes on my back and a Buick Special with a bad trans. She came in while I was at work and emptied the house (including all the appliances).
I did put a new trans in the Buick and drove that for like 3 years and then gave it to my brother when he got out of the Navy.

To be clear, I said "I'm not a fan"S'okay, just a joke.
Had to respond to the "I don't like El Camino's" posters.
I was 28 and we had been together 12 yrs, married for about 10 of those, we had an easy divorce and shared 50% joint custody but she met another guy at the strip club and ended up moving to Mi. WO saying anything and lost the house, yrs later bought the house back and the one next to it, lives in I think the same one we lived in, my daughter did live in the other one but not now and the other one comes up in my Gsons name that’s in the Marines, CrazyHoly sheep shit. That's wacked. I'd have told her to hit the bricks and don't come back, ever, but then again, I got screwed out of everything, so I'm not one to talk, but in my defense I was only 22 at the time and got much wiser after I got burned.
I had a 57 Ranchero in the mid 70’s, I’ve always liked Almost all Elkys & Rancheros, I never cared for the Falcon version of a Ranchero thoughTo be clear, I said "I'm not a fan"
I like them but I would never buy one.
What's strange is I like 66-67 Chevelles more than 1970 Chevelles.
But with El Caminos it's reversed. 1970 El Caminos look better than 66-67's to me.
