There was a Grabber Blue '70 Mach One in my town, with white interior and it always stuck in my ming. All the ones we have on the lot anre greys and black, and all black interiors. Where are all the good color combos?

I had a Green with black stripes with rear window louver 70 Mach 1 4 spd 351c 4V heads and headers, stock posi rearend, forgot mileage but fairly low back 1981/2 that was a blast to drive, always wondered how it compared to a 70 Camaro handling, it handled fantastic

We “Might” be buying this, Kathy showed it to me and she’s all set to start packing till I said “I’m keeping the ac business open here” then 😳, so she’s still thinking she wants to move there, Kentucky 15-20 min from our oldest girl, but not liking the thought of me keeping the bus here and I doubt I can just start a $$$ making company overnight there lol, guess I’ll know what she wants to do in the next few daysView attachment 17205

Do you really want more than an acre to mow ? And don't forget, KY has a 7% income tax and Florida is zero !

I forgot to mention she has another daughter about an hour away from us now with 3 & 6 year old girls, we're just closer to the 10 year old Gson from when her oldest girl went through a divorce when he wasn't even walking yet but learned to walk living here, she bonded the most with him

Decided to go with slightly bigger headers; 1-7/8 tubes and 3.5 collectors made by Patriot.
Pretty sure these are what Rick has on his car. I bought my Hedmans a while back and can easily sell them for what I paid.
I saw a comment that the flanges are notched to clear tall head bolts on alum heads so that's really nice !

They say they fit 68-72 and nogo on a 67, but the difference has to be manageable.
They are ceramic coated Summit branded, but the specs match the painted Patroit headers they sell.
1-7/8" primaries, 16 gauge tubes and ceramic coated

$470

Don't do it! The difference is in the frame, if it was a minor difference they'd have designed them to fit all years. Hate to see you go beating up a set of coated headers..,.uncoated would still off my list. I spent several hours making a set of 2 inch vintage appliance headers fit my 69, and they were designed for a 69. Welding, pie cutting, rewelding, fitting and finishing.....then ceramic coating.

I don't think they make a set that doesn't need small dents for the steering shaft and the pass side upper control arm.
I can handle it. :)
You're not gonna rag on me when I come back and complain, are you ?
I could have bought the Hookers that are 2" tubes and claim to fit a 67.

I had to make a Dimple in mine because I ran the bolts that hold the motor mount frame stands to frame up from underneath to make it easy to put the nuts on, well on the Drv side the bolt hit a tube so I took a 4.5” grinder and cut it down but still needed a Dimple so I used an old broom stick against the tube and hit it with a hammer till it cleared, IIRC the diff in HP on a 600hp BBC going from 2” down to 1 7/8” headers looses about 10hp or less but down to 1 3/4” IIRC was over 20hp, my engine guy said I should use 2+” but he’s a drag racer, and his dyno headers wouldn’t work because flanges hit the head studs, the Patriots I have was no problem with studs

I haven't placed the order yet. Chickened out LOL
The 2" Hookers say they fit a 67 so I am leaning toward them.

Nope, I never force feed advice.......I couldn't handle the responsibilty. I've modified many a header, the fenderwall headers for my '55 wouldn't allow the wheels to turn more than hafl the way, so I cut the head flanges all but the top 1/2 inch, and lifted them up which moved the downtubes outboard about 3 inches. Then just filled with weld, a lot of weld. I may have cut pieces of metal to fill, can't remember. Anyways, they came out great but they weren't coated till they fit rigft. The others I mentioned above. I've got a set of hookers here, 2.125 long tube Super Competitions, and they are new, and need a bunch of mods to fit right. Waiting for the right car. I've also got a set of 2.125s from the legend, Lemons, and they've been coated, have O2 bungs, and came on a car I sold. I wasn't going to let them get away. Those are waiting for the right car also. Nice headers, I believe they're up around $2000 or so.

See above; I didn't place the order. But seriously looking at the Hooker 2" tubes.
Hooker claims they fit 66-67

You’ll gain a few hp from 1 7/8” to 2”, I actually have more room for spark plug changes than I thought I would, 2” would’ve been nice but I’m not changing now for the small gain Oh for O2 bungs Puttem in the collector adapter
