Couldn't remember what state your were in, but North is North, and I know it's cold. We lived in Connecticut up until '97 and moved to Florida. Working outside year round doing construction was not fun. I installed a oil fired water heater in our house in CT, and when I got home from work, I'd take 45 minutes showers to get the chill out of my bones (thus the oil fired water heater which could make hot water continuously). I had my share of plowing and shoveling snow and don't ever intend on doing that again.
