ZZ Top

I’m always seeking input. I woke up very early this morning and just started searching for something to watch on Netflix. I didn’t know what I was looking for. I came across a documentary on ZZ Top that was very entertaining. It brought back a lot of visceral memories of listening to their music back in the 70’s. I know what I’ll be listening to today.

Highly recommended!

ZZ Top were the best at creating those infectious rhythms that just get your head nodding and feet tapping. I say 'were' because without Dusty Hill(RIP), it's not the same band. Billy Gibbons has such a great feel on guitar, and you couldn't get a tighter rhythm section than Frank Beard and Dusty Hill.

At the end of the show, they were talking about being together for 50 years and how that was longer than most marriages. Interspersed in the narrative and historical footage, they were performing in Greune Hall which was a perfect setting for “That Little Old Band from Texas”.

I've seen it and agree!

This was a great show, summer of 2019. Cheap trick opened for them.
