Details low temp has worked fine for me, the high temp stuff burns off too fast.I have some details in black. I found it not very durable. I was wanting a 2k or something along that line . I used 2k spray max and was happy. I didn’t find any other colors than the black and a 2k primer. I also found it took a lot of cans. I saw Eastwood had a 2k cast gray in a can. Not sure how good it is. Cast gray was mentioned on the ocs in Cain restoration. I did the springs in Eastwood cast powder so I assume color would be similar. I will also be doing more parts like sway bar and other steering components.
are the backing plates the same as a dust shield? And isn’t it silver. I’m probably wrong there, but I haven’t painted them yet.Disc backing plates are a gold oxide color.
Actually they are a gold tint and if IRC the caliper brackets are too. Is your car a factory front disc car or 4 wheel drum? Also idler arm. Also to add I think brake parts ( spindle, steering knuckle) minus calipers caliper bracket, backing plate.steering box are also natural

4 wheel drums were on it when I got it. The rear was swapped out at some time before I got it. It had/has a 10 bolt. Funny thing is it’s a coded 69 n/p 10 bolt with drums. Front had drums they were originally there. Riveted bolts. A few years ago I tracked down a coded 69 12, but it’s not exactly correct. Came from a 350 and n/p. Waiting to go in after a few changes (posi and different gears) and only part has been painted. As for the front, I started to redo my drums then came across a set of original 69 disk set-up from spindles to m/c and booster. I use to drive this car back in the day (92 last tabs) then it sat. Long story short I would like to put it back to as close as I can get it to the way it was. Of course not the exact numbers thing but numbers thing. It will be a garage queen as I will probably never have a license ( glaucoma). My first car I ever owned bought from my uncle. A basket case to start with but she’s alway been my love. Crazy how long I’ve moved it from house to house. City to city. One wife to another. I think it got attached to my hip.Actually they are a gold tint and if IRC the caliper brackets are too.
