Bahamas

We went to the Bahamas for 4 days (Lisa our kids) in 2013 as my son Paul who was on a competitive soccer team and his team was invited to play against the Bahamas National Team. The people there were very nice and gracious. I thought the last vacation I had was 2014, but I was mistaken as it was 2013.

It was very enjoyable until we found out most of the kids were sent with very limited funds and didn't have enough money to eat, but could buy starbucks coffee and trinkets. I ended up paying for dinner for the whole team one night to the tune of $775.00 US dollars, and none of the companying parents chipped in. That set the tone for what would be the last time I'd fund other peoples kids to have a vacation and a good time.

Here are some pics Lisa took.

We took a cruise thru the Bahamas on the Norwegian Dawn out of NY, May of 2005, 2 weeks after it was hit by a massive wave off the coast of the Carolina's.
Worst, cruise, EVER!!! Roughest seas I have ever been in. The captain came on and said "it looks like the ocean doesn`t like the Norwegian Dawn very much".
It took us 2 days to get from the coast of the Carolina`s to NY.

Lisa the kids, and I went on a cruise to Cozumel and the Grand Caymans in January 2005 (our first and last cruise), and there were rough seas. People were getting sick everywhere, furniture sliding everywhere, food and plates sliding off tables.

We went back to our state room (we had a nice big room with balcony) and as the ship rolled we would see the water then the sky (no view of water at all) and water again, and that went on for 3 or 4 hours. Lots of sick people and messes everywhere.

We went on a family vacation to Nassau on the SS Florida in the early 60's...it was beautiful...Paradise Island didn't have "any" high rises yet!...just raw undeveloped beach!

Paying for everyone. Most excellent. I too have been known to do such things.
Karma don't you know...
