Rear control arm bolts

In my 69 AIM the picture shows bolts #9421430. I know these correctly, but it’s the bolt #402568 I’m confused about. I guess when I was taking them out I didn’t pay that close attention. Now it’s process of elimination. These are my original bolt some from front and back. The black bolts are first two original #9421430 from gm dealer. Black one with nut same number but reproduction from ci. Then there are the silver original I took out of the car. I can see the #9421430 bolts so I assume the two on the end would be the others? They also have washer. Is that part number right? Or is it missing a number? It’s probably the same 64-72. Maybe another part number? Thanks

The part number probably changed over the years from GM. As long as the grade is the same you are good. The main thing to remember is to put them in the direction showed in the pic and do not torque suspension bolts down until the car is put back together, the weight of everthing needs to be on it. MAKE YOURSELF A NOTE TO TORQUE. I forgot but got lucky nothing came loose, I did hear a clunk when engaging gears.

Thanks I will make a note on torquing later.

I've replaced these dozens of times and only have seen black oxide bolts, never silver. There are 2 different lengths that I recall.
Derek, never heard that regarding torquing rubber bushings only, but makes good sense.

FWIW, factory bolts were Grade 5
I run hardware store Grade 8s in my car.

Rubber bushings must be torqued at ride height.
Any other bushing type can be torqued with the car up on jacks without any concerns.
So would all the bolts be the same. Just the two that bolt to the frame rail show different number. I would like to try to track down originals while I have a little time.

Sorry I didn’t mention they were blasted. Before they were rust color, but started out black oxide.

I don't know why they would be any different.
I might have a set of originals in my stuff... won't be able to look for them until next week though.
It was just labeled different in the AIM. It’s the two by the frame. I forgot to mention the bolts to the rear were taken out when they took the 12 bolt and replaced with 10. I don’t think the ones on the frame did. I also thought I couldn’t reuse originals due to stress. If they are unused will you pm me. It’s the two on the frame. I was also hoping someone might jump in with a different part number. Maybe from a different hopefully newer year. By the way you make me jealous of how many times you’ve redone your 69. Don’t stop you keep me motivated and often time wanting me to change my direction. 🙃

The ones I have came off a rust-free '70 Malibu 400 frame.
I personally wouldn't worry about them being stressed, and wouldn't hesitate to re-use them.

When I had the rear end removed from my car I also removed both the upper and lower control arms. All the bolts were in good condition. The only thing I replaced were all the nuts only because they are crushed down a bit to make them tight. You can buy all new factory style bolts and nuts from AMK Products.
