line lock?

I was just thinking to myself and wondering if anyone has a line lock in a car that is not a race car? I know what it is and the purpose of course but just wondering for the guy that just wants to have it to have it or the few times a year you do go to the track....worth it?

I do, I was going to go to the track more that I did. You know how that goes. For me it's a 8 hr. round trip, & I just went on street nights so it was usually about midnight before I got home.

I have one on my 67 that I drive on the Street and go to the Track with
the Line Lock is only good for/used for to lock the Front Brakes ON so that that you can do the Burn Out to take Dirt off & to Heat Up the Tires
Not used at the Line to Hold the Car before Launch

Back in the 80s when I had my 65 GTO I use to use it at the Street Lights to get a Edge on the Big Bad Camaros who usually beat everyone else
except me // my Rear Tires were already Spinning/Smoking just before the Light Turned Green
and those guys did not know what happened until it was to late

Back then I was worth it for me to see the look on their Faces at the Next Light as my Big Old Pontiac GTO Spanked the Young Guns when they did not expect it

I have line lock in my car. I don't race it. I like it for the sitting at a light on a hill.
It`s a lot easier to just hold the button than it is the break and clutch at the same time, then roll back a bit while taking off.
Especially with some idiot on your ass at the light.
You can see it on the fire wall just below the trim tag. Nice little unit. The hardest part of putting it in was flaring the stainless line.
