It kinda looks real to me. I don't know anything about 69 dashes, but one thing that definitely stands out when looking at the "RPM/100" lettering, is that the tach is cocked a couple degrees.
Here's the one in the ad:

And here's a new one:

Look at the redline on the tach.... the new one says 5,500 and the old one says 6,000.

I want to think there were different gauges for a small block and big block. I converted an idiot light 69 to the gauges ( I still have the idiot light unit if anyone is interested) a while back.

I did see that, but I just assumed, like in 66, that there were different redline tachs depending on which 396 it had. In 66 I think there were 3 different redlines.

If you look at "RPM/100", you can also see a difference between the one in the ebay ad and the new one.

And the screw holes on the Ebay one are indented, the one from the ad are not.

I'd have to compare... I have a really nice original 5500 redline tach on a shelf at home. Haven't looked at it in years, but it's a known original.

The reason I posted it, I think someone put an aftermarket tach in an original dash carrier.

If you think about it, he gets $750 for parts not worth $750. A repop tach is only about $260.
