Drip Rail Install 71 Chevelle

Does anyone know what is involved in the installation of new drip rail on my 71?

Does the roof skin need to be removed for the new rail?

Yep, the drip rail gutter is part of the inner structure and the roof skin just caps into the gutter, then flooded with sealer. If it's rotted out, it's invasive. No way to sugar coat that one.

Can the roof skin come off and be reused?
My skills will be tested with this one but i have confidence in my capabilities. Never to old to learn.

Anything's possible, but it isn't worth saving imo. If it's a beater, it's a different set of methods, but for anything worthy, no.

Sounds like time for a replacement roof skin, might try to find a donor roof from a parts car since repop parts suck at fitting without mods EDIT might try BeldonSpeed they sell replacement window channels for A bodies

Belden panels work great, I have them referenced in my 72 build thread.
