Brakes Dragging

The pads are rather thick, I know, blast me, I did not have the rotors turned so the seating in process may take a few miles.
 
Drove it for 15 miles last night, seems to be getting better. I will continue to take it out and run it and let it do heating and cooling cycles.
 
Me neither, I sand with 120 diagonally. If they have grooves they get a cut, but that's only on stuff I use out of the bin. Napa lied to me and said a set of cores couldn't be turned, I knew better since I micd them....took them to a local mechanic and he took car of them. My local Napa is useless.
 
Warm to the touch, but you should be able to rest your hand on the inner wheel. Probably around 120.
 
I think it is fixed.

I checked the pedal adjustment and it was too tight. One of the curses of having 2 of the same car is remembering what was done to which one. I had adjusted the other car's pedal in the winter.

Also, the power brake actuator pin is a hair too long. For now the master cylinder is shimmed with a washer on each bolt. I took it out and the brake temps were way down and se rolled a lot freer.

Now, she needs a good bath.
 
Antiseaze will make the rubber swell you need to use a silicone or ceramic based brake lube.I paid I think 13.99 for the container I bought and I've been using it for years and even with doing my family's brakes its not anywhere near halfway.
Also if you've got a lot of air in the brake lines you don't pump the brakes at all until the very end.
You open the bleeder the helper pushes the pedal down to the floor and holds it there.You close the bleeder and then the helper releases the brake pedal. Doing it this way just pushes the air out a lot faster than the pump pump pump method. Also you don't pump the fluid into a frothy tiny air bubble filled mess that takes forever to release the air.It also mimics the method a pressure bleeder uses without the pressure bleeder.
Try that method iI's not mine,I was taught this method in the mid 80's by a guy from Europe who was a foreign car mechanic.He was an amazing mechanic who could fix anything foreign or domestic but was really good with all the German cars.
